Zero Database of Its Own

Most modern to-do apps make you create an account, upload your personal life to their cloud server, and lock your tasks in a proprietary database. Notch does none of this.

🔒 Direct Apple EventKit Integration

Notch communicates directly with Apple's native EventKit framework on your Mac and iPhone. When you view, create, or complete a reminder in Notch, you are manipulating the exact same system database that powers Apple Reminders, Siri, and your iCloud sync.

🚫 No Servers, No Sign-in, No Telemetry

There are no user accounts, no subscriptions, no analytics trackers, no crash-reporting SDKs, and no network requests at all. Your data remains strictly on your devices and in your personal iCloud account. Updates and the Mac's one-time purchase come through the App Store. The one exception is the direct-download Mac version, which checks GitHub once a day for updates and sends nothing about you or your tasks.

🧠 On-Device Natural Language Processing

When you type phrases like "tomorrow at 9am", the date and time are parsed purely on-device using Apple's NSDataDetector and native date parsing libraries. No prompt is ever transmitted across the internet to an external AI model.

🔔 Native macOS Notifications

Notch requests system notification permission so it can alert you when tasks are due, routing clicks directly back to your calm Notch workspace instead of Apple's default app.
